Chiropractic is a
non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses
on the neuromusculoskeletal system. Chiropractors usually
treat
disorders related to the
spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints.
Chiropractors are frequently the primary practitioner seen
for acute or chronic pain conditions of the lower back and
neck; however, we are extremely effective in treating
headaches, whiplash, strains and sprains, repetitive strain
injury, work and sports injuries, arthritis and limited
range of motion in the back, shoulder, neck or limbs.
Initially, a thorough and complete health history is
obtained. The chiropractor will then perform a
comprehensive exam and may require further investigation
with radiographs (x-rays) to determine if you are a
chiropractic candidate. The chiropractor will
determine a diagnosis and explain precisely why you are
experiencing pain. The chiropractor will then develop an
appropriate treatment plan to remiss your current pain as
quickly as possible, restore function to your spine,
muscles, supporting tissues and the nerves affected by them.
The doctor will provide recommended therapeutic exercise,
other non-invasive therapies and nutritional recommendations
to help speed up the healing process. Once the patient is
free of pain, the doctor will discuss a preventative care
plan to help avoid further attacks. Never hesitate to ask
your Doctor of Chiropractic questions concerning your
condition. He will be happy to answer all of your questions.
